Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2026
Cleave ("we", "our", or "the app") is a fully offline puzzle game. We believe privacy policies should be short, because the app itself collects nothing. This page explains exactly what that means.
1. Data We Collect
None. Cleave does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any server. The app does not make network requests as part of gameplay.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system:
- Level progress and medals earned
- Endless mode high score
- Hint usage counters
- In-app settings (haptics, audio preferences, tutorial flags)
We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services
- We do not serve advertisements
- We do not share data with third parties
- We do not use cookies
- We do not require an account
- We do not make any network requests
4. In-App Purchases
If Cleave offers in-app purchases in the future, they will be handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We will not process or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy would govern all purchase transactions.
5. Third-Party Services
Cleave does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.
6. Children's Privacy
Cleave does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else. The app does not require account creation, does not collect personal data, and does not serve targeted content.
7. Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Deleting the app removes all data associated with it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
